Griffin-Spalding County Schools is seeking a highly qualified and visionary leader to serve as the Executive Officer of Schools (K–12). This position plays a critical role in supporting the district’s mission to ensure high levels of learning and success for every student. The Executive Officer of Schools will provide strategic leadership, guidance, and support to school principals and district leaders to strengthen instructional practices, improve school performance, and foster a positive learning environment across all schools.

The Executive Officer of Schools (K–12) serves as a key member of the district’s leadership team and works collaboratively with principals, central office staff, and community stakeholders to promote academic excellence, operational effectiveness, and continuous improvement. This leader will oversee and support elementary, middle, and high school principals to ensure alignment with district goals, effective implementation of instructional initiatives, and the development of strong school cultures that support students and staff.

  •  School Principals

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in Educational Administration or related field
  • Ten (10) years of combined teaching and administrative experience, with at least three (3) of those years being a principal
  • Valid Georgia Certification in the field of Education Leadership

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Georgia certificate in Leadership at either the L-6 or L-7 level
  • Five (5) or more years as a successful building principal
  • Experience with Leadership Coaching
