Class Description

 

“How do I plan instruction for students with processing deficits?” This course will provide educators with a comprehensive understanding of how processing deficits impact a student’s ability to comprehend and make meaning of information. Participants will gain insight into the different types of processing deficits outlined in psychoeducational evaluation reports for students with disabilities and how these deficits affect learning. Through guided activities, participants will deepen their understanding of processing challenges and explore effective ways to identify and address them in the classroom.

 

The course will focus on how to design, plan, and implement Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) tailored to the individual needs of students with processing deficits. Participants will learn practical strategies and instructional methods that support the unique learning needs of these students, ultimately fostering improved academic outcomes. By the end of this course, participants will have the tools and knowledge to effectively support students with processing deficits, creating learning environments where these students can thrive and succeed.
