Class Description
This professional learning experience is designed to help K-5 educators seamlessly integrate mathematics and science through phenomenon-based and interdisciplinary instruction.
Using GaDOE’s Project-Based Learning Units, Interdisciplinary Connections, and Interdisciplinary Challenges, along with the Math and Science Frameworks, Participants will:
- Identify effective phenomena for mathematics and science instruction.
- Recognize key crossover points between math and science concepts.
- Explore and share standards-based resources to enhance interdisciplinary instruction.
- Discover practical strategies for implementing engaging, real-world learning experiences.
- Strengthen their STEM identity and confidence in interdisciplinary teaching.
