Seminar Description: 

This interactive, information-packed training day provides LEA Representatives (and other IEP Team members) with suggested

meeting aids and strategies, including a video demonstration of their use. The strategies will assist LEA Reps to effectively:

  • Fulfill their role as the IEP meeting’s process leader, supporting the Team’s content leaders
  • Ensure all IEP Team members, including parents, can participate meaningfully in decision-making
  • Use visual aids, checklists, and strategies to prepare for and guide focused, data-driven meetings
  • Apply communication and conflict management techniques during challenging conversations
  • Help the Team reach consensus and respond appropriately when consensus isn’t possible
  • Lead efficient, organized, and legally compliant IEP meetings
