This K-5 course is designed to introduce and develop essential literacy practices in students, aligning with the newly adopted ELA standards in Georgia. Throughout the course, participants will engage in a variety of activities and exercises tailored to their grade level, with a focus on progressively deepening their understanding and application of key literacy practices. These practices are not just standards or expectations; they are skills to be honed and developed over time. Teachers will guide students through activities that involve reading, writing, listening, viewing, speaking, and creating multimodal texts.
