At Griffin RESA, we are committed to building stronger schools through high-quality professional learning and certification pathways. We are proud to announce that applications are now officially open for our Alternative Preparation for Educational Leadership (APEL) program.
The APEL program provides a one-year job-embedded pathway for teachers, leaders, and district-level personnel who hold a Master’s degree or higher and are seeking Tier I or Tier II Educational Leadership certification.
Unlike traditional academic programs, this certification-only track prioritizes dedicated clinical time with a leadership coach and mentor. By focusing on real-world professional experiences, we help you build the confidence, skills, and presence necessary to lead with excellence.
To support the busy schedules of educational professionals, our program format is highly flexible:
- Virtual Learning: All residencies and classes are conducted virtually.
- Flexible Observations: Professional observations can be completed either virtually or in person to fit your needs.
Program Details & Highlights
- Certification: Tier I & Tier II (Non-degree/Certification-only).
- Focus: Instructing, guiding, and supporting employed leaders to improve school systems.
- Target: Current and aspiring leaders with a Master’s degree or higher.

- Application Deadline: June 26.
