Class Description
This full-day professional learning experience empowers educators with practical, research-based strategies to teach writing in ways that also deepen reading comprehension. Through a structured, scaffolded approach, participants will learn how to build students’ sentence and paragraph writing skills while enhancing their ability to analyze and understand complex texts. Whether in ELA, social studies, science, or math, the writing strategies explored in this course are designed to help students make sense of content, express ideas clearly, and develop critical thinking skills. Educators will leave with a toolkit of ready-to-use strategies that connect writing, reading, and learning across the curriculum.
