Endorsement Description

The Coaching Endorsement is a fully virtual, three-course program designed to equip educators with the knowledge, skills, and mindsets necessary to lead instructional improvement through effective coaching. Course 1: Skills for Effective Coaching introduces foundational coaching knowledge, including the role of a coach, performance criteria for effective coaching, and strategies for analyzing teacher strengths. Participants learn to develop SMART goals and build collaborative, data-informed coaching plans that support individual and schoolwide growth. Course 2: Practices for Effective Coaching focuses on implementing research-based coaching strategies, delivering meaningful feedback, and aligning coaching efforts with school improvement goals. Participants enhance their verbal, written, and non-verbal communication skills to build trust and foster a positive, collaborative coaching culture. Course 3: Reflective Coaching Practice emphasizes reflective practice, data-driven progress monitoring, and ethical communication. Participants apply prior learning to conduct coaching sessions, provide actionable feedback, and lead continuous improvement efforts rooted in trust-based relationships. Together, these courses prepare educators to coach with confidence and impact—developing teacher capacity, improving instruction, and ultimately enhancing student achievement.
